拉法基:投資傾向發(fā)展中國(guó)家

Emerging market cement business booms
PARIS - French cement producer Lafarge has unveiled a plan for operations in emerging market countries, which are seen as a key part of its development strategy.
In the past five years emerging market nations in Africa, Latin America, Asia and central and eastern Europe have accounted for more than 50% of Lafarge's investments, 20% of its sales and 36% of its operating earnings.
"Overall, emerging market countries - in the cement sector - offer profit potential comparable to that of older markets," said Lafarge general director Bernard Kasriel.
The group plans to dispatch trained teams to prepare the ground for its activities in emerging countries.
"The formation of teams who know the region and are ready to seize windows of opportunity are the keys to success," Kasriel said, pointing to South Korea, where Lafarge representatives have been present since the 1980s.
Lafarge is active in 75 countries, employing 75,000 people at 2,100 sites. Sales last year came to 13.7 billion euros (16.7 billion dollars) and operating results to 1.9 billion euros.
